Precision guidance kits will play a crucial role in modern warfare

In modern warfare, the use of precision strike ammunition is increasing and has become a key factor in gaining operational initiative and winning wars. Precision strikes offer advantages such as minimal collateral damage, reduced ammunition consumption, fewer logistical personnel requirements, and shorter engagement times. These advantages form the fundamental basis for future military operations, making precision-guided weapon systems the inevitable trend in military development.
However, precision strike ammunition is costly and cannot be mass-produced, while the large stocks of conventional ammunition are insufficient to meet the demands of modern warfare. As a result, there has been the development of ballistic correction projectiles that bridge the gap between the two. Ballistic correction projectiles do not require modifications to the original ammunition structure; they only need a precision guidance kit, also known as a "two-dimensional ballistic correction fuze component," installed at the fuze position of the standard ammunition to transform it into guided ammunition. The "precision guidance kit" can detect the attitude and position of the projectile during flight, adjust the flight trajectory, and provide accuracy comparable to precision-guided ammunition.
