How does a precision guidance kit work?

The precision guidance kit consists primarily of components including the satellite positioning module, the roll angle measurement module, the control unit, the torque motor, the information receiver module, and the power management module.

Once installed on a projectile and loaded with enemy position data, upon firing, the satellite positioning receiver begins to receive signals, providing real-time data on the projectile's position and velocity. The projectile controller processes this information to determine the projectile's trajectory. Simultaneously, the roll measurement module calculates the roll orientation of the fins based on the projectile's velocity. Guided strategies are then formulated to generate guidance commands based on the projectile's trajectory and target location.

These commands, combined with actual roll data from the fins, form control instructions. The fins adjust their roll orientation according to these instructions, modifying the measurement signals received by the controller and establishing a feedback loop for fin adjustment. Changes in fin orientation affect the projectile's flight path, thereby adjusting feedback to the controller for trajectory measurement and forming a trajectory correction loop.
